MISSION IN MEXICO, NICARAGUA AND ECUADOR OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2007
MEXICO
It is always a coming back to reunite with the family of God, getting back together with the troops of Jesus. Every country I travel to, I find the same elements playing on the ground: People of God who are constantly growing deeper in His love and thirsty for knowing Him more every time, people living a lukewarm life between God and the world, and people who are all for the world and nothing for God.
After a while it becomes simple: One has to locate oneself according to this vision of people and with the help of the Holy Spirit, be aware at all times with whom of those three groups one is dealing with, that way, things progress in the right direction and one can focus on the mission of leading souls directly into the bosom of the love and Mercy of God.
Mexico is for me a great challenge. It is a country and a people that have a lot of passion for life and when that passion is centered and focused on God, one finds true mystics, true soldiers of God willing to run the race to the ends of the toughest battle fields. With the same token, when that passion is centered on the world you'll find the most successful worldly people dealing with the fires of the dark as if they were Christmas fireworks.
This time I began the mission in Acapulco in the outskirts of town up in the mountains at the religious community of father Pablo Straub. It was a joy to be able to preach to the community of nuns and monks for two days and to receive their joy and strong commitment of their calling to the religious life. Father Pablo is a real spiritual father, it is a great sight to see all of them walking around the convent grounds with him and living that personal experience of a deep spiritual guidance of a saintly priest that gave his life to God in an extraordinary way and that has done so much for the Kingdom during his life. We agreed to meet again for another retreat at a later date.
After this date I went to Veracruz where I got together for the second time with a team of young couples who are seriously committed with a brilliant apostolate. A lot of people around them have returned to the faith through their example. Their faith renewal is a fresh dew from the Lord and it can be felt through the passion they all have for God, for our Lady the Virgin Mary and for the cause of the Gospel. Always very obedient to Church authority, this makes things very safe and strong. Every time I see them, I notice the growth and pray hard to the Lord keep them safe from all of the snares they have to go through as young couples raising young families in the midst of wolves and such a materialistic world. I trust that the Lord will continue to keep them strong and faithful to His army. I'm looking forward to coming back to Veracruz. We also teamed up again in Puebla a few days later for the enthronement of a statute of the Baby Jesus of Prague that I brought from Prague especially for Mexico with four other missionaries, three Canadian and one Irish.
After this I had the opportunity to mission in Guadalajara, Toluca, Mexico City, Monclova and Puebla. Each one of those missions was so special an anointed. Each one with their own special charismas and gifts of the spirit.
Mexico is a spiritual powerhouse for the Catholic church and I hope that the battle also focuses on denouncing all of the violent and horrifying sects that are exported from foreing countries that call themselves Christians and only come to create divisions among such a Catholic country, so that the big corporations can take over great territories of business and political interests. Lots of magicians like Benny Hin and other TV masters who use the name of Jesus to attract the dormant Catholics with the propositions of physical healing, the promises of prosperity and so many other vain desires, portrayed themselves with high magical crafts.
NICARAGUA
This was my second visit to this friendly and Catholic country where the people have been so brave as to vote against abortion making it one of the very few countries of the world who dare to save the innocent babies from being slaughtered by the evil machine of the great powers.
I went to preach a retreat in a Franciscan monastery three hours away from Managua in a place called San Rafael. I met the story of a saint from Italy whose remains were held there by the altar at the Chapel and his body left uncorrupted. He died recently. Although of Italian origin, he lived in Nicaragua circa 40 years and peacefully died at his convent leaving a whole legacy of saintly tracks. The miracles performed by God through this humble monk have been uncountable so far. His name is Padre Odorico D Andrea born in 1916 in Italy and died in Nicaragua in 1990. It was a blessing and an honor to be able to preach in his holy remains.
The rest of the mission was held in Managua (the capital), and these activities being in the midst of the Christmas celebrations, I was able to participate in the different local Catholic Christmas traditions which were quite lively and anointed.
Nicaragua is a vibrant Catholic country and leaves one with great hope for the Church. The sects and the pagan philosophies haven't taken a toll there so far and I pray that they people continue to be united in their faith, strong and faithful to God. After such a cruel and long war, today one can say that Nicaragua is a country of peace with very respectful Catholic citizens. The leaders of the Catholic Church are brave and holy.
May the Lord Bless Nicaragua and keep her safe from the evil one.
ECUADOR
This is my fifth time missioning in Ecuador. I have developed many great friendships in Christ here. This time I went to Guayaguil for a day retreat and then returned for a few venues in Quito.
Ecuador being a faithful Catholic country, very strong and mystical, is going through a great test. Communism is definitely threatening to bring dark forces to the nation and the first target is always the Church. Being of satanic origin, the first thing that communism attacks is anything that has to do with Christ. Therefore the propagation of protestant sects is welcome , as are welcome all kinds of pagan philosophies and divination in order to created division among the people as well , not by the people of God, but by worldly and atheist politicians and business people. In spite of it all, I can see the remnant of the Church strong and faithfully fighting against this evil with prayer, love and sacrifice, the most powerful weapon against the evil forces.
This country has been consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for a long time and by a president who became a martyr after consecrating it by being murdered by the local masons in revenge for his Catholic faith.
We need to pray hard for Ecuador, so that God keeps this nation free from this evil of communism and left wing forces of the devil.
