USA MISSION OF NOVEMBER 2006

Missioning in the USA is always a good opportunity to take the pulse of the times. I think that there is not a more perfect place on earth to observe with clarity the direction in which the world is going, than the USA. For some reason, ever since after World War II, the USA became an economical superpower and behind that, a great influence for the whole planet. Most of the social influences after the 1960iest have been a little more than poisoning, because of the serious attacks against morals, values, the feminine liberation movements and the gay power that started to bloom in California and was spread all over the world, as well as the incredible thirst for a spirit of consuming material things. It seems to be that the whole world has follow and can’t have enough of its decadence.

Not every thing is bad though. I find every time, more and more people returning to the faith, especially in the Catholic church, even though within the clergy and religious I observe a severe protestantization which leads them into a very cold indifference to sacred tradition and to the obedience to the Holy see.

The laity seems to be the body that is coming into the rescue of the Church. The few holy clergy and religious are living under enormous pressure from within the church that aims for every thing but holiness. So, it appears as if one finds two churches clearly divided: One which is traditional and faithful to the Holy See and one that is liberal and is going on its own, completely in des-obedience.

This gives me a good reading as to where the whole universal church is heading. We are facing the times Jesus told us about it. It is just the beginning. Reason why Jesus told us that God will shorten these times for the sake of His people. Reason why Jesus said: “Will there be any faith when the son of man comes back?”.

But we have to trust in the Lord Jesus and keep on fighting the good fight of the Gospel. USA is a great place of soldiers of Christ that have a brave spirit of transcending the walls of evil and entering the realm of Grace where God is always ready to safe those that hear the calling, no matter what their past may have been. He will make us all new creatures.

I went first to Hertford, Arizona a very small community right on the border with Mexico. I mission there with a group of lay man who through the inspiration of a Michigan couple that retire and moved to Arizona, built a beautiful retreat and mission house in the desert. This couple acquire a very significant piece of land and built a series of houses for different purposes of preaching the good news of the Lord Jesus.

They erected a gigantic Cross on the slope of one of the mountains within their property. Bring this Cross up brought the whole community into a great argument and legal battle. An obvious intervention of Satan, but at the end, Jesus reigns always and the Cross and a great statute of our Lady the Virgin Mary where place there side by side and can be seeing from miles away.

The mysterious desert site fill with cactus trees and a sober sandy looking ground, makes one feel, as if you really enter a retreat, just by being within that territory, notwithstanding the fact that the facilities built by this brave couple from Michigan, awaits the faithful for a real spiritual treat.

I preached to the English speaking community as well as to the Spanish. We as a missionary team, decided that next year during the month of November, will organize a retreat much larger and with retreatants from all over the USA, Canada and Latin-American. Please pray for that mission and know that you are invited, you will never regret having been to this site for a retreat.

I moved along the mission trail to Los Angeles and preach there in two different parishes and three prayer groups, did a Catholic TV interview and went back to Detroit, Michigan to preach a two days retreat in Farmington Hills Saint Gerald’s church. I also mission in the parish of Saint Stephen’s.

The mission in Michigan was guided by a great lay missionary by the name of Buny who has dedicated her life for many years to bring people into the awareness of the responsibilities as Catholics and also into the awareness of the sings of the times.

I return to Los Angeles for four days and preach in three more places before moving into Tijuana, Mexico to begin a mission in that country.

I left the states this time, convince that there are way too many people sleeping and don’t know their mortality for real and have no idea as to what they are facing at the moment of death, before God’s tribunal in the person of Jesus Christ. A lot of these people have been baptized in Christ and know their responsibilities, but have been drawn in the world and forgotten every thing. We have to pray very hard for their salvation, it is a massive amount of souls in danger, in serious danger. There is a plastic Christianity being preached, which presents a fake Jesus that comes to give them tones of money and physical comforts and health in exchange for a good spirit of contributing with the economy of the pastor.

It is a false gospel and is perverting millions of weak Christians. That is why we see more and more the phenomenon of the popular TV evangelist.

May God have mercy on America and bring a Holy blessing up on all of these millions of souls walking hand by hand with the enemy of the soul.
