MISSION IN COLOMBIA SEPTEMBER 2006

I arrived in Bogotá, Colombia on the 30th of August and began a series of retreats and spiritual assistance to many. Bogotá has a Pilgrim's of Love house which is the main mission house for all the Spanish speaking countries. Many people come with different needs. Life in south America is one of contrast. On one end the faith is much more on fire spiritually. On the other hand, one has to endure the climate of social injustice that still reigns in many areas. It just tells you that there is not a happy and harmonious place on earth. It does help to make one to strive more for the things that are from above. Being in countries like Europe or North America, or even some places in Asia, gives one a very scary view of the world because of the coldness, indifference and distance from God, so if one compares both areas of underdeveloped countries and industrialized ones, spiritually speaking, there is no other solution than to go on our knees and repent fast, go through penance and sacrifices to repair for all those that do not pray, for all of those that do not adore, for all of those that do not believe, as the Angel in Fatima taught the little shepherds to do. There is no time to waste; the Angel of chastisement has been set loose for a while already, and the only force that possibly holds his hand back from hitting hard in some places as he should, is true conversions of the heart, where the spirit of true penitents can produce a level of spiritual light which crosses the commands of chastisement into the Celestial Courts finding intercession from the ones above who are close to the Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit, such as The Virgin Mary, Saint Michael, and all the saints, giving license by God through the gift of canonization for the needs of the faithful and the request for a truce made by the saints on earth with the promise to fight harder for the truth and the love of God amongst humankind as reparation's souls. I'm not presenting a picture of doom with the intention of exiting the innate superstitious nature of people due to original sin, as false prophets of end times do. I'm reflecting on a picture of a reality that is eminent in our world, where the signs are clear: North America is in great danger of becoming much lower than any third world country in all aspects. Due to its degeneration in morals and values, the horrifying crime of abortion, and the decadence of the media and entertainment world, God is going to take away every single grace and blessing given through the faithful founders of those countries like the USA and Canada if they do not absolutely enter on a path of radical changes towards God, and as a matter of fact, it has to be done immediately, because there is no time left for them. Europe is turning towards a total apostasy and serious manipulation of world powers in the hands of terrifying satanic freemasons. Where do these reflections lead us? To the understanding that the forces of nature are shifting to an unexpected world order that is far from being humankind's plan. What appears to be below today, will end up being above, and what so surely remains above is collapsing to the very below. Every thing can change and will change if people do make a change of heart, but the colors of human conduct today, are so blair within the spiritual realms related to God and His commandments, that there seems to be very little hope so far.
I met with the missionaries of "Hope of The Heart" from Italy (Esperanza dei Cuori)that came to Colombia to mission in the jungle area of the Choco, a rain forest of the country in the pacific side. For a few years this mission has been steadily growing in evangelization and also in providing a better living for natives from the Embero Katiro's tribes. Many were in the hands of the horrifying lies of the evangelical sects, which come to Colombia to plant the most terrifying hatred against the Catholic Church. Some have been in the hands of esoteric and magical sects as the Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons, but in general, many have returned to the Catholic faith, and many didn't have a faith at all. Today, some of the tribes, thanks to this mission, have a school for the children, a medical center, a Chapel, electricity and some better means of survival. What is even better: a relationship with God that is so beautiful and sincere that will put a lot of cradle Catholics to shame in many of the places I mentioned above.
Missioning in those places is a true challenge. The first thing a missionary has to do, is to really decide if one will be able to give one's life for Jesus. You are talking about walking in areas that are mined by violent and cruel guerrilla groups, serious exposure to different kinds of threats, and in the midst of all of that, it is a good challenge for a true Christian to find out how much spiritual growth he has really achieved. We find today in our Church a lot of good people that provide a sincere generous heart and help many missions around the world, but very few brave missionaries that will venture beyond the cement walls of the cities. The great adventure of missions today, is to go to the ghettos and deal with prostitutes, alcoholics, prison ministries and drug addict rehabilitation programs, but if called to go a little further than that, very, very few answer the call. We are not exactly populated by a brave church today unfortunately.
We'll continue to go to the jungle areas and many other places where only very aggressive protestant and magical, esoteric sects go, or where human beings have been completely abandoned to starvation.
Let's pray so that our Catholic Church has missionaries that are willing to go all the way into bringing Jesus to the hearts of those that are so far away from civilization, and who end up being ignored completely.
