MISSION 2006 IN CANADA

It is always a returning to a family in Christ being back in Canada. I have developed a deep love for the Church in this country as I continue Missioning through out the different provinces.

This time around I began in Toronto with a set of venues put together by Carmel Harasym an Irish Catholic dedicated lay missionary who has been a faithful supporter of the Pilgrims of Love mission in the world. I preached in five different parishes of the area of Toronto and Mississauga, a Carmelite convent and three different prayer groups that gather in homes. After, I went to Marmora, Ontario to speak at a conference which was held at an other prayer group who owns a beautiful peace of land and gathers many pilgrims a few times a year, some of whom come to the site of a Marian apparition which has been the interest of many Catholic for a number of years already and where extraordinary things happen related to our Lady the Virgin Mary and our Lord Jesus.

I left the area the day after to drive to Combermere, Ontario where I had a series of talks put together by Joe and Mary Jean Martin, who have been a great support to my mission in the last five years. They have a powerful view of the times we live and have been determinant in living the faith according to the real teachings of the Sacred Catholic traditions, which makes them for me a very reliable couple considering the incredible lukewarm ness we are facing these days in our Church. I admire them much and we had our fifth mission together.

Combermere is the home for a great Catholic lay community that was founded by a very holy Russian mystic by the name of Catherine Doherty who died some time ago and left a legacy of mystic teachings that are follow around the world by many Catholics and especially through the Madona House monasteries which are in many countries around the globe. I have a very good relationship with them and try to visit there the house which is the mother house for the whole world. I’m very proud of them and their spirituality and mission in the Church and in the world.

I spoke at the town’s public high school to a large group of students who in spite of being of different religion believes and some of no believes at all, were very respectful and receptive to my conference. It is a great challenge to speak to the youth any where in the world today. We live in a world so fill with information and fill with choices on the philosophical and intellectual levels in general, that to speak about God is entering in a realm where people are more incline to hear the word gods than any other word. It is no easy to deal with a globalize society where even morals and values are part of the globalization, turning them into a relative body which can be absorbed through culture and education.

I went there after to the city of London, Ontario, then to Windsor and to end the mission, I spoke at a very dear an anointed prayer group in Pain Court, Ontario near the USA- Canadian border. I left Canada to start a two weeks mission in the USA.
